AN ACT for the relief of William H. Headen.
WHEREAS in cAnseqdence of the ativaneed age, good character, large family,
* and revolutionary services of William Headen,
Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House ofRepresentatics of
of the State of Louisiana in general assembly convr ned5 That the trea-
surer of the state be authorised to refund to Williao Headen on his warrant,
the sum of five hundred dollars out of any money in the treasury not otherwise
disposed of, being the amount of a bond on which said iHeaden was securily,
and which bond was forfeited by the principal failing to appear at court ac-
cording to the condition thereof.

AN ACT to repeal a part df the fourth section of an at entiiled,An act to
create a separate and distinct battalion of militia in the parish of 8t. Lan-
dry and for other purposes.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Represent athie.e of the
State of Louisiana. in General .ssembly convened, That so much of the
fourth section of the aforesaid recited act as provided, that there shall be at
least two full companies before the battalion, authorised by the aforesaid nit,
shall he organised and separated from the sixteenth regiment of militia, shall
be and is hereby repealed.
See 2. And bb it further anected, 4-c. That when the company ofloors
of the aforesaid banalion, shadI have met and elected a major coinmiandaint,
the presiding officer at such elect-on shall make due return thereof In the com-
mandant of the sixteenth re!iinent of militia, who shall transmit the inforin-
tion to the governor, that the said major commandment may be duly coml-
miosioned.

AN ACT supplementary to an act entitled 'An act to incorporate the sul-
scribers to the Mississippi Marine, and Fire Insurance Company, approved
eighteenth of February, eighteen hundred-and tweny fve.
Section I Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Rep.resentatives of
the State of Louisiana in general assembly convened, That from and after
the passage at th's act, it shall be lawiful lar the directors of the blississippi
Marine and Fire Insurance Company, to receive in pledge for the scuirity of
the payment of such parts of the capital stock of said company, As shell not
have been paid in, the stock of any of the banliks or other institutions now in,
corporated or hereafier to be incorporated by the Legislature of the State of
Louisiana, any thing in the-act to which this is a supplement contained, to the
contrary notwithstanding.
