AN ACT to amend the act entitled 'An act relative to the roduction Qf
Slaves, approved November 9, 1881.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senafe and House of Representaties if

authorized by a special power of attorney previously given and recorded in the

t ivention to is i, section, shall be subject to the same pains and penalt es, and
.the slaves sointroduced shall be subject to the same disposition, that are sti-
*litated and prescribed in the act to which this is an aricndment: Provided
however that any citizen posessing all the qualifications required by this a0c-
tion, for an agent may appoint as his agent for the purpose of purchasing
slaves un, er the prove ans hereof, his son, or son-in-law.

such slaves of which they were the owners, before the passage of the act to
which this is a supplement, within the said state.
Section 8. Be it further enacted, &c. That the clause in the third section
