with an act approved the twelfth day of February
eighteen hundred and thirteen, providing for the
distribution of stands to the different batallions and
regiments.
Its inscrip-  Sec. 2. Be itierther (nacted, That the inscription
an or- thereon be as follows, to wit: Presented by the
State of Louisiana to the Batallion of Artillery of
New Orleans, 1826, which shall be included with-
in an elliptical figure formed by stars on one side
of the drapeau, in its centre, and on each angle
thereof within twined wreaths the words - Honor
 Valor - Country c, Discipline with a vignette
extending around the border, according to a draft
presented herewith; on the reverse the foregoing
inscription in French.
Sum appro. Sec. 3. .1tJd be it further enacted, That, in addition
theae oe. to the sum already appropriated by law for the
purpose of furnishing stands of colors to the differ-
ent battalions and regiments, the Governor is here-
by authorized to draw on the Treasurer of the
State for the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars
to defray the necessary expense in providing the
said stand of colors.

of the State of Louisiana, in General d./ssembly convened,
That this Legislature does not concur in certain re-
solutions adopted by the General Assembly of
Ohio, at their session in the year one thousand eight
hundred and twenty-four, proposing a plan for the
gradual emancipation of slaves; and that the Go-
vernor be requested to transmit a copy of this re-
