Repealing SECT. 29. And be it further enacted, That all other acts
clause, or parts of acts repugnant to the provisions of this act, and
now in force, be and the same are hereby repealed.

AN ACT
To amend the 341st article of the Civil Code of the State, The printing
awl promulgation of which is ordered by an act of the 24th Sprit,
1824.
Be it enacted by 'he Senae ad House of Re-
presentative,, of the State of Louisiana in General Issenbly
convened, That instead of the highest conventional interest,
which Tutors of minors are by the 341st article of the Civil
Code of the State, made liable to pay to their pupils on the
funds which they may have failed to place at interest for
their use. The said Tutors will be accountable only for
legal interest ; and that, when the said Code will be pro-
mulgated, the said article .34 1, will not be in force, except
so far as it is not contrary to the provisions of this act.

to emancipate his female Slave named Mary Therkse, alias
Aig:istne, as a reward for services rendered by her to his
faumly, Provided, that this emancipation be made after the
Jorialitics prescribed )by law.
