1817. vened, That from and after the passing of this act, the act
entitled: -an act concerning the levees and roads on the
banks of the Mississippi, and for other purpbses, be and
the same is hereby repealed; and tifat the laws which were
in vigour, relative to the police and making of levees before
the passing of the act herelly repealed, shall hereafter be in
full fQrce.

AN ACT to explain certain acts relative to roads and levees.
Pieamble. Whereas doubts have arisen within the parish of Iberville
on the question to know whether the judge of thatparish was
authorised to order the execution of the decrees rendered
by the policejury, with regard to the apportionment and pay-
ment of the eipences occasioned by the repairs of the cre-
vasse which took place in said parish, during the year
eighteen hundred and eleven; and whereas those doubts
have prevented the payment of said expences, and produced
claims which require the intervention. of the legislature-
therefore-
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-
tives of the State of Loubiana, in Gene at Issembly con-
vened, That agreeably to the provisions of the, several acts
relative to roads and levees, the judge of the parish of Iber-
ville is authorised to apportion the expences occasioned by
the above mientioned crevasse, on all the inhabitants of said
parish, and to enforce the payment of said expences by the
means authorised by law.
