SEc. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and Houfeof
Reprefentatives of the State of Louifana in general afembly con-
tened;   That the city of New Orleans and its adjoining
City   and   fuburbs fhall hereafter be, and the fame are hereby divided
suburbadivided into eight feaions in every one of which there thall be ap-
pointed one juftice of th- peace.
Sec. 2. And be it further enafled ; That the

tion with Bourbon ftreet, thenalongBourbon ftreet down to
the line of demarkation of fuburb Marigny ; the fourth fec.
tion fhall be bounded by a line runping from the point of
interfeation of St. Peter and Bourbon reets, along the faid
Bourbon ftreet up to the limit of the fuburb St. Mary, then
following the [aid limit down to the lower end of the city of
New Orleans, and from thence going down to St. Peter ftreet
and following this laft fireet up to its interfeftion with
Bourbon ifreet.
SEc. 3. And beitfurtherenaled; That the fifth
lefion fhail comprehend all that portion of the fburTb St.
Mary within the foll6wing boundaries; beginning from the
margin of the river where the faid fubuib is bounded by the
city and aficending th- river up to Poydras ftrett, from thence
along Poydras ftreet d-wn to the lower end of the faid fubt rb,
and thence running in a ftraight line to the limits of the city,
