Be it enacted by the Senate and Houfeof Reprefentatives of the State of Louifana in general afembly con- tened; That the city of New Orleans and its adjoining City and fuburbs fhall hereafter be, and the fame are hereby divided suburbadivided into eight feaions in every one of which there thall be ap- pointed one juftice of th- peace. Sec. 2. And be it further enafled ; That the firft fe&ion thall confift of that part of the city of New 0 -an , which is comprifed within the following boundari -; to wit, taking the point of departure from the margin of the river and defcending St. Peter fireet as a as Bourbon ftt; from thence along Bourbon ftreet up to the line of demaika. tion of the fuburb St.Mary and following the faid line upto the point where it firikes the river.
