Im, as soon as the laws passed during the present session
shiall be delivered agreeably to law, out of the public trea-
sury on the warrant of the governor.
Sec. 3. .dnd be itfurthcr enacted, That such part of the
sixth section of the act to which this is a supplement, as pl*
lows th- pilblic printer on annual compensation of three
thousand dollars be and the sameis hereby repcalrd, pro.
vided that nothing herein contained shall be construed so
as to hinder the public printer from receiving from the trea-
sury the balance of the sum due him for this year's prin ing
at the end of the year.
Sec. 4. .dnd be itfirther enacted, That the state printer
to he elected by virtue of this act before he enters upon the
dutics imposed on him, shall give bond. in the sum of two
thousand dollars, with two sufficient secualties to be upprov.
ed by the governor, the said bond to be conditional for the
faithful performance of the duties imposed on him hy law,
which bond shall be pay2ble to the governor or his succes-
sors in office, and deposited in th office of the secretary of
state.

RESOLUTION
Resolved byt the senate and house of rc/presentatives of the
state of Louisiana in general assembly convened, That the
loan of twenty thousand dollars negociated with the Plan-
ters and Orleans Banks, by the governor of this state, dur-
ing the late recess of the legislature, be, and the same is
hereby approved, and that the faith of this state be, and it
is hereby pledged to reimburse the same
Resolved, That the unexpended balance of said twenty
thousand dollars be expended, under the orders of the go-
vernor of this state, in furnishing workmen and haterials in
completing such batteries or other works as major-general
Jackson may deem proper to erect on the river Mississippi,
or elsewhere, and that the governor render an account qi
his expenditures at the next session of the legislature.
