E it enaled by the legi//ative J council and ho/fe of reprefcnta- tives of the territory of Orkeans, in gcncral S . 10 afernbly convened, That the inhabitants fhall eentinymenu cleave to their flavcs the free enjoyment of sumndays, and b, Sundays, and Ihall pay them for their labor 0i '11 lI' on faid day,, when they will employ them, at the rate of fifty cents; Provided, That rovise. the prefent feftion fhall not be confirued fo as to extend to flaves employed as fervants, carriage drivers, hofpital waiters, or to thofe employed in carrying provifions to market. .
