1866.     ions 2, 3, 4, and 5 of article 1st, chapter 3, title 8, except that,
in addition to the affidavit required by section 222, the plain-
tiff shall state in the affidavit that the garnishee is justly
indebted to the principal debtor the amount garnisheed, and
the plaintiff shall execute a bond to the garnishee as required
by section 224.
§ 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from its pas-
sage.

CHAPTER 595.
AN ACT prescribing punishment for felonies and misdemeanors by free negroes
and mulattoes.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky :
§ 1. That all persons, without distinction of color, within
Negroessubject this Commonwealth, shall, after the passage of this act, be,
to same punish-
mentsaswhites and they are hereby, made subject to the same pains and pen-
alties for felonies and misdemeanors that have heretofore been
prescribed by law for the punishment of white persons for
Exception.  like offenses-except that the laws now in force fbi the puh-
ishment of negroes and mulattoes for rape on white women
are hereby continued in force; and that all laws in conflict
with this act be, and the same are hereby, repealed.
§ 2. This act to take effect from its passage.

AN ACT to amend chapter 94, article 2, section 1, Revised Statutes, entitled
-Inoculation.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of
Kentucky:
That article 2, section 1, chapter 94, of Revised Statutes. be

in lieu thereof the word vaccinate.

AN ACT to amend chapter 43, article 2, section 6, of the Revised Statutes,
entitled Guardian and Ward.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky:
§ 1. That section 6, article 2, chapter 43, of the Revised
