CHAPTER 561.
AN ACT to amend tile laws in relation to revenue and taxation.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly oj the Commonwealth
of Kentucky :
§ 1. That all laws heretofore passed in relation to revenue
Turnpike stock and taxation, and mode of taking in taxable property, shall be
to be taxed
only at its real so construed as only to require the owners of shares in turn-
value,     pike road companies, as those the Commonwealth owns stock
in, to give in for taxation the number of shares, nominal value
and real value thereof, and to pay the same taxes on the real
value as on other property assessed on the ad valorem princi-
ple.
C  2. It shall be the duty of the Attorney General to dismiss
ertainsuitseto al suits brought, and which are now pending against any
such corporations, for arrearages of taxes, or for failing to give
in to the assessor the lands over which their road passes, and
their toll-houses and grounds.
§ 3. This act shall take effect from its passage.
