holders,) shall not be destroyed; and the public deprived of
its usefulness and convenience,have agreed to form a com-
pany, with sufficient capital to pay the said debt and other
existing liabilities of said road, which have been admitted
as just, or which may hereafter be so admitted, and pur-
chase said road, &c., under said decree, with a view and
purpose to continue to use the same, under its existing
charter and such amendments as may be made-therefore,
Be it enacted l, the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of
Kentucky:
§ 1. That it shall be lawful for the president and direc-
tors of said railroad company to consent to the formation
of such an association.
§ 2. That if said association shall be formed, it may be
lawful for them to purchase said road and its effects, under
said decree; and the running and operation of said road
shall be continued under its chartered rights, so long as the
same shall make a sufficiency to cover the annual expenses.
The said association shall become the owners and proprie-
ters of the said road, and all of its corporated'rights and
privileges and estate, real and personal. They shall have
power, under and according to the charter, to elect five
directors annually, whose powers and duties and rights and
liabilities shall be the same as now provided by law. Said
directors shall annually elect one of their own body pres-
ident. Three of said directors shall constitue a board for
the transaction of' business.
§ 3. The legislature reserves the right to alter, amend,
or repeal this act.
§ 4. This act to take effect fiom its passage.

CHAPTER 492.
AN ACT Appropriating Money.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly] of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky:
§ 1. That the following sums of money are hereby ap-
priated, to the persons named, to be severally paid them,
upon the warrant of' the Auditor, out of any money in the
treasury not otherwise appropriated.
§ 2. To the Speaker of the Senate and 1-louse of Repre-
sentatives, eight dollars per day, each, during the session
of this legi.lature.
§ 3. To the Principal Clerks of the Senate and House of
Representatives, ten dollars per day.each, during the pres-
ent session of this legislature, and the same each, for ten
days alter the recess, for their services in preparing the
