RESOLUTION autlhorizing the Governor to draw appropriation for medals.
Resolved by the General Assemld1. of the Commonwcafth of
Kenicky :
']'hat to eable the Governor to execute the resolution of
the Gcneral Assembly, at its last session, awarding medals
to the surviving Kentilcky Volunteers who participated in
achieving the naval victory on Lake Erie, by the fleet of the
United States, over that of Great Britain, on the 10th day
of September, 1813, he is allowed to draw from the treasury
the sum of four hundred dollars, from any moneys in the
treasury not otherwise appropriated.

That the Auditor of Public Accounts be directed to draw
his warrant on the Treasurer, in favor of' Charles S. More-
head, Joshua F. Bell, James Guthrie, Charles A. Wieklifl,
Jamiies B. Clay, and William 0. Butler, for the sum of live
hundred dollars each, for compensation and expenses as
commissioners if this State to Washington city, in refer-
ence to lalneliinenIs to the Constitution of the United
States.
Approved February 1, 1861.

apprelnsion, the dangers that nowv environ the Union
and threaten its perpetuity.
Rcsoved, That we appeal to our southern brethren to
stay the work of Fecession-to return and make one
mighty eflort to perpetuate the noble work of our fore-
fathers, hallowed by the recollections of a thousand noble
deeds.

coercion by the General Government against the seceding
