1861.                          CHAPTER 193.
AN ACT to repeal the spring term of the several courts in Metcalfe county.
Be it atacted by the General Asscmbly of the Conmonwealth of
Kentuckj:
§ 1. That no term of either the circuit, criminal and
equity, quarterly, or justices' courts of the county of Mlet-
calfe, shall be held prior to the first day of July next.
§ 2. This act shall take eflect from and after its passage.

CHAPTER 194.
AN ACT further to amend chapter 86, Revised Statutes.
Be it cnacted byt the General Assmbby of the Commonwecalth of
KentucA 'l :
§ 1. That the first section of the act approved February

tain cases   Revised Statutes, be so amended as to read,  that the
be sold.    slaves, or any interest therein held by an infant, may be
sold by the judgment of a circuit court having jurisdiction
thereof, or by the judgment of a court of equity not infle-
rior to the circuit having jurisdiction thereof, in the same
manner and by the same proceedings regulating the sales
of real estate of infants prescribed by chapter 80, articlo
3, of the Revised Statutes.
§ 2. This act shall take effect from its passage.

CHAPTER 100.
AN ACT to amend the penal laws in relation to certain duties of county court
clerks.
Be it enacted btj the General Acscmbbj oJ tf/c Commonwealth of
Kentulcky:
§ 1. That any clerk of a county court of this Common-
Penalty on wealth who shall fail, for one month after the passage of

for fuing to this act, to transmit to the Auditor of Public Accounts a
return to Aud-
itor a copy or copy of the commissioner's book for his county for the
eom''s book. year 1800, as provided by section 1, of article 8, phapter
83, Revised Statutes, shall, upon conviction, on an indict-
ment of the grand jury of his county, be imprisoned thirty
days in the county jail of his county, and fined from five
hundred to one thousand dollars, within the discretion of
the jury: Provided, That the commissioner's book shall
have been made out for said year 1800, and within the
control of said clerk. The provisions of this section shall
