CHAPTER 1037.                           1860.
AN ACT for the benefit of Mrs. Ophelia Smith, of the city of Lexington.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky:
§ 1. That the Auditor of Public Accounts be, and he is
hereby, authorized to draw his warrant upon the treasury,
in favor of Airs. Ophelia Smith, of the city of Lexington,
for the sum of two hundred dollars, ($200,) the amount
overpaid by her as tax upon billiard tables, for the years
1858-9 and 1859-60.
§ 2. This act to take effect from its passage.
Approved March 1, 1860.
CHAPTER 1038.
AN ACT for the benefit of Thomas S. Walls, of Breckinridge county.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky:
§ 1. That the Auditor of Public Accounts be, -nd he is
hereby, directed to draw his warrant on the treasury for
the sum of ten dollars, in favor of Thomas S. Walls, the
amount of tax overpaid by him for tavern license, with the
privilege of retailing spirituous liquors, in the year 1853.
§ 2. This act to be in force from its passoge.

CHAPTER 1039.
AN ACT taxing free negroes in Boyle county.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky :
That the Boyle county court be vested with full power
and authority to levy a tax of not less than one nor more
than three dollars upon each free negro in said county over
the age of fifteen years; and the revenue arising there-
from shall be considered as a part and parcel of the revenue
of said county; and this act to take effect from its passage.
