Uptergrove, A. J. and J. W. Howard, and Ben. N. McPher-
son; thence north to the Barren county line, including
Allen Hays, James Hays, Ben. Bartley, Thos. Bartley, sr.,
W i. Bartley, jr., Jas. Miller, and Jas. Gentry, including
the George B. Harlan's farm, intersecting the Barren county
line, near the Huffman camp ground; thence with the
Barren county line to the beginning.
§ 2. The place of voting in said district shall be at Sul-
phur Lick post-office; and the sheriff of said county is
directed and required to open a poll at said voting place,
as at other voting places in said county. All laws in force
regulating elections, so far as the same are applicable,
are hereby made applicable to the district hereby created;
the legally qualified voters of said district shall be entitled
to elect two justices of the peace and one constable at the
same time and in the same manner as other districts.
§ 3. The first election for officers of the district created
by this act shall be held on the first Saturday in May,
1860, who shall hold their offices until the next general
election for justices of the peace and constables, and until
their successors are qualified.
§ 4. That immediately after the election under this act,
the Secretary of State shall furnish said justices of the
peace the books now allowed them by law.
§ 5. This act to take effect from and after its passage.

of Kentucky :
§ 1. That the trustees of the town of Benton, in Mar-   May grant

house or on his premises, and will not suffer any scanda-
lous or disorderly behavior in his house or on his premises,
and that he will not sell or give any spirituous liquors to
