AN ACT for the benefit of Julian Nail, of Fulton county.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky :
That the County Court of Fulton county shall allow
Julian Nail, Jailer of said county, the sum of sixty-one
dollars, for keeping G. Asberry, who was committed to
the jail of' Fulton county as a runaway slave, but who
proved that he was a free man of' color-said claim to be
paid out of the county levy, and 'to be allowed at the next
court of claims for said county.
Approved February 12, 1858.
CHAPTER 359.
AN ACT to allow James C. Jones, of Rockcastle county, to solemnize the
rites of Matrimony.
Whereas, it is represented to the present General As-
sembly that there is a large boundary of' country around
where James C. Jones lives, in Rockcastle county, in
which there is no person authorized to solemnize the rites
of matrimony, on account of which the people suffer great
incovenience. For remedy whereof,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the ,Communwealth
of Kentucky:
• That James C. Jones, of Rockcastle coanty, be and he
is hereby authorized to solemnize the rites -of matrimony,
to have the same effect as if solemnized by ministers of
the gospel, and shall be governed by the same rules that
govern ministprs of the gospel in relation to returns, &c.

CHAPTER 360.
AN ACT to incorporate the Columbia and the Russell Springs Turnpike
Road Company.
Be it enacted by the Gcneral Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky:
§ 1. That a company shall be formed, under the name
aoandstyle. and style of the Columbia and Russell Springs Turnpike
Road Company, for the purpose of' making an artificial
road -from Columbia, Adair-county, to the Russell-Springs,
in Russell county.
.§ 2. That the capital stock of said company shall be
P*   6k. -  tventy thousand dollars, divided into shares of fifty dol-
lars each; and if it shall be found that said capital stock
is not sufficient to complete said road, (including bridges,)
then the President and Directors may increase the same,
and open books for its subscriptions.
