1858.                        CHAPTER 300.
AN ACT to amend the charter of the Kentucky, Cumberland Gap, and
Southern Railroad Company.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky:
§ 1. That the first section of an act, entitled, an act
to incorporate the Kentucky, Cumberland Gap, and South-
ern Railroad Company,' approved March 2, 1854, be so
amended, that said railroad shall commence at Lexington,
and may use either the road of the Lexington and Dan-
ville Railroad Company, or the road of the Lexington and
Big Sandy Railroad C6mpany, for such distance from Lex,
ington as may be deemed advisable, as a part of the
road to be constructed.
§ 2. That the second section of the said act be so
amended that M. Cawoodi C. J. Calloway, and Wickliffe
Percival, of Harlan county; Win. Dickinson, John Eve,
and Parks D. Brittain, of Knox county; Win. Rannells,
Levi Jackson, and H. H. Scovel, of Laurel county; Judge
Murphy, A. White, and T. T. Garrard, of Clay county;
M. Buchanon, John L. Ballinger, and *T. W. Napier, of
Lincoln county; Gabriel Salter, James R. Woods, and
George Mer.rett, of Garrard county; and Daniel Breck,
Wm. C. Goodloe, and Win. Harris, of Madison coun.ty;
be added to the Commissioners named in said section,
and shall have equal powers with said Commissioners.

CHAPTER 302.
AN ACT for the benefit of Sampson M. Johnson.
Be tt enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky :
That Sampson M. Johnson, of Logan county, be and is
hereby authorized to sell a certain negro boy now owned
by iim, named Henry, aged about ten years. any law to
the contrary notwithstanding.
Approved February 11, 1858.
CHAPTER 303.
AN  ACTito repeal.an. act, -entitled, an act to incorporate the town of Will-
iamsburg, in Whitley dounty.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of.the Commonwealth
of Kentucky:
That an act, entitled, an act to incorporate  the town
-of Williamsburg, in Whitley county, approved March
:3d, 1851, be 4nd the same is hereby repealed.
. Approved February 11, 1858.
