AN ACT to le         CHAPTER 16.
Tto egie the subscription of the Woodford County Court to the
V   ,saillea and Munday's Landing Turnpike Road.
WmHIMAs, The County Court of Woodford county has
by its order subscribed the sum of seven hundred and
fifty dollars per mile to the Versailles and Munday's
Landing Turnpike road, &c: Iii order, therefore, tomake
valid said subscription,
Be it enacted by the Gener(d Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky:
That the subscription of stock to the said road leading
from Versailles to Munday's Landing, madc by order of
said Court, he and the same is hereby legalized and made
valid; and said Court is hereby authorized to make such
orders from time to time as may be necessary to carry into
eflict the said subscriptions so made.

CHAPTER 17.
AN ACT for the benefit of Elizabeth Rucker.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonocalth
of KentUc/,:
That it shall and may be lawful for Nimrod Harris,
trustee of Elizabeth Rucker, to transport the slaves he
has in his possession, as trustee aforesaid, at such time
and to such place in the State of Texas as the said Eliza-
beth may desire; and upon his delivering them over in
trust for the vso and benefit of her and her children, to a
trustee appointed in a proper manner by a competent.
court of said State of Texas, he shall be released, so far
as the slaves are concerned, from any further responsi-
bility on the bond or bonds he has executed as trustee of
said Elizabeth Rucker; and he shall be allowed a reasona-
ble sum, out of any money he may have in his hands as
trustee, for the trouble and expense necessary to carry out
the provisions of this act.

CHAPTER 18.
AN ACT for the benefit of Charles Linn, Sr., of Calloway county.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentuc y ;
That Charles Linn, Sr., of Calloway county, be and he
is hereby empowered to sell a certain female slave, named
Vina, at any place in this Commonwealth, without incur.
ring the penalties of the law now in force in relation to
the sale of slaves brought into this Commonwealth.
Approved January 14, 1856.
