AN ACT to aid in removing fie negroes from this State to Liberia,
Be it enacted bn/ the General Ax ..imb! of the Commonlwealth
of Kentulc/y:
§ 1. That the sum of five thousand dollars he and the

be applied to the removal out of this State of negroes re-
sident therein who are now free, and of such as ilay be
born of them and be free.

society for tle 'tllll of seveany dollars fbr each .such per-
son over two years or age, which sum shall be applied to
his removal to Lileria, and his support thre fir six

lllade, notice Of the intended transportation shall he pub-
lSlhed at les two months in two newspa*'f': at Frank-
fort. The said hoard shall be furnished by the society, or
its agent, wilh a written stateient containing Ihe names
and ages of the negroes tor whose removal application
has been made, the (late of the application, and counties
Where they reside; and also of those who have been selit,
with the couaties where they resided, and the tate, port,
and vessel of sailing tor Lileria. And the said hoard shall
see that amnongst the applicants prefereitee he given to
those of each county in proportion to their contribution to
tie And.
§ 3. And le i/ftrther enacted, That the said society shall
report to the Legislature at each session, how it has dis-
posed of the moneys that may be drawn by virtue of
this act.
