CHAPTER 904.
AN ACT for the benefit of John W. Coleman, of Trimble county.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Common
wealth of Kentucky, That the auditor of public accounts be
and he is hereby authorized and directed to issue his war-
rant on the treasurer for the sum of ftrty-eight dollars, for
the benefit of John W. Coleman, of' Trimble county, for
money expended and services rendered as the agent of
Kentucky, appointed by the governor, to demand of the
govcrnor of Indiana a warrant for the arrcst of Norris
Day, a fugitive, charged with aiding in the escape of a
negro from Kentucky.

CHAPTER 905.
AN ACT to incorporate the Hopkinsville and Smithland Railroad Coin.

§ 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Common-
wealth of Kentucky, That a company shall be and is hereby
created and established, under the name and style of the
Hopkinsville and Smithland Railroad Company, for the Coipoiatc .a.e
purpose of constructing and building a railroad from Hop- (,,poweCS.
kinsville, in Christian county, to the mouth of the Cum-
berland river. That all persons who shall become stock-
holders in said company, pursuant to this act, shall be and
are hereby made a body corporate, under said name and style,
with power to construct and maintain said railway, with a
double or single track, as may be deemed necessary, with
such appendages as may be requisite for the convenient
use of the same, commencing at an eligible point near the
junction of the Cumberland and Ohio rivers, thence by the
most practicable route, by way of Princeton, in Caldwell
county, to Hopkinsville.
§ 2. The capital stock of said company shall be one Cdpitail U.k.
million of' dollars, to be increased if necessary to complete
the road and purchase the necessary depots at each end
and along the line of the road; which capital stock shall
be divided into shares of fifty dollars each, and be deemed
personal property.
