Approved March 7, 1850. CHAPTER 571. AN ACT to reduce into one the several acts in relation to the town of Cynthiana. SEc. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly qf the Com- Concerns vest- monwealth of Kentucky, That the town of Cynthiana, as laid tobe 7Trustees, off and described in a plat, and the additions thereto, now nually. of record in the Clerk's office of Harrison County Court, shall be known, and is heceby declared to be the extent and limits of said town. That hereafter the fiscal, prudential and municipal concerns of said town shall be vested in seven Trustees, who shall be elected annually on the first Saturday in January, by the free white male inhabitants over the age of twenty one years, and who have resided in said town nine months previous to said election, and also by the free white male citizens of Harrison county, over the age of twenty one years, who shall be the owners of real property lying within the limits of said town. That the said Trustees and their successors in Corporate office shall be a body politic and corporate, and shall be powers. known by the name and style of the Board of Trustees of the town of Cynthiana; and by that name shall be capable in law of contracting and being contracted with, of suing and being sued, of pleading and being impleaded, of an- swering and being answered, of defending and being de- fendeJ, in all courts and places; and may use either a common or private seal and do all other acts, matters and things which a body politic and corporate, having perpet- ual successsion, can lawfully and rightfully do.
