1850.     Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That the Second Auditor be and he is hereby
'directed to draw his warrant on the Treasurer, in favor of
the said George W. King, for the surn of one thousand dol-
lars, being in full compensation for said injury: Provided,
the said King executes and files with said Auditor a re-
lease declaring that he accepts the said one thousand dol-
lars in discharge of his claim.

CHAPTER 355.
AN ACT for the benefit of Jacob Corbett.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That Jacob Corbett be and he is hereby releas-
ed from the payment of the balance of a bond executed
by Lewis R. Richards, and said Corbett, as security, paya-
ble to the Commonwealth, for the purchase price of a 'ne-
gro boy named Stapleton, sold as a runaway slave out of
the Ballard county jail, which bond is on file in the Bal-
lard Circuit Court Clerk's office: Provided, that said Cor-
bett shall execute bond, with approved security, in the pen-
alty of seven hundred dollars, in the Ballard Circuit Court,
conditioned to indemnify the State of Kentucky against
any claim that Edly Powell, or any person, may have
against the State on account of said negro.

CHAPTER 306.
AN ACT for the benefit of the children of Bob Reese, (a free man of col-
or,) deceased.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That the estate of Bob Reese, deceased, a
free man of color, after the payment of his debts, shall not
go into the Treasury of said Commonwealth, but shall vest
in Henry F. Cromwell, of the town of Cynthiana, in trust
for the use and benefit of Wesley, John, Harman, and
James, the children of said Bob Reese, deceased; but said
estate shall in no wise be subject to the order or control of
any master, as such, of either of said children, but the
estate shall be managed and controlled by said Cromwell,
as trustee for said children, and for their exclusive use and
benefit, should the masters of said children assent thereto:
Provided, said Cromwell give bond, with adequate and ap-
proved security, in the County Court of Harrison county,
payable to the Commonwealth, but conditioned for the
faithful accounting for the estate which may come to his
hands, -as trustee aforesaid, to the said children, together
