Be it. enacted by the General Assembly of the Com- monwealth of Kentuc/y, That there is hereby established, an Clarke. election precinct, at the house now occupied by Thomas C. Greene, in the county of Clarke, which shall be governed by the laws in relation to election precincts. SEC. 2. That an election precinct is hereby established Hart: at the house of Thomas Lafferty, in Hart county, to be governed by the laws in relation to elections. SEC. 3. That an election precinct is hereby established Henderson. in Henderson county, at the house of Robert Smith, at the Post Office known as Robert Smith's mill. Approved February 26, 1849. CHAPTER 494. AN ACT for the benefit of George T. Anderson, of Logan county. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, That Miles G. Gilbert, guardian of George T. Anderson, of Logan county, be and he is hereby authorized to sell a man slave named Wiley, the property of his ward, and invest the amount arising from said sale in some prof- itable manner: Provided, That nothing in this act shall be so construed as to release, in any manner, the said Gilbert, or his sureties, from the pains and penalties of the guardian bond of the said Gilbert. Approved February 26, 1849. CHAPTER 495. AN ACT to change the name of Martha Trisler, and for other pur- poses. WHEREAS, It is represented, that an orphan girl, by the name of Martha Trisler, has been adopted by Archibald Terrill, Jr., of Madison county; and said Terrill is at pres- ent childless, and is desirous to do a good part by said or- phan. Therefore, SEc. 1. Be it enacted bt, the General Assembly of the Com- monwealth of Kentucky, That the name of said orphan be Name-of Tris- changed to that of Martha Jane Terrill, and that she be ler changed. capable of inheriting the estate of said Archibald Terrill, Jr., in the same manner as if she were his lawful child. SEC. 2. That the name of Amanda Tabitha Murry be Xame of Mur. changed to that of Amanda Tabitha McKenzie, and is ry changed. made the lawful heir of Bonapart A. McKenzie, as though she had been born in lawful wedlock.
