CHAPTER 490.
AN ACT for the benefit of S. G. Rogers.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That the County Court of Nicholas shall have
power to appoint Samuel G. Rogers, of said county, Con-
stable, notwithstanding he is under the age of twenty-one
years.

CHAPTER 491.
AN ACT for the benefit of James Penny.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That James Penny, of Boyle county, is here-
by authorized to bring into this State, from Virginia, two
boy slaves, without incurring the penalties of the law
against the importation of slaves into this State: Provided,
HIe shall, within sixty days after said slaves are brought in,
make an affidavit before some Justice of the Peace of said
county, that he did not bring said slaves into this State for
the purpose of selling them again, or for merchandise, and
that they are intened for his own use: Provided, further,
That said Penny shall not hire out, or sell, said slaves,
within eighteen months from the time said slaves are brought
in.

CHAPTER 492.
AN ACT to establish Election Precincts in Calloway and Bullitt.
SEc. 1. Be it enacted by, the General Assembly of the Com-
caloway.  monuealth of Kentucky, That there is hereby established,
.an additional election precinct, in the county of Calloway,
and the place of voting therein shall be at Johnson's old
store, now occupied by Charles McDonald; to be governed
by the laws now in force in relation to elections.
SEC. 2. That an additional election precinct is hereby,
Bullitt.  established in the county of Bullitt, at the house of Enoch
Leach, which shall be governed by the law's now in force
in relation to elections.
