1849.     Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentuclj, That it shall be lawful for John M. Martin,
administrator of said Ball's estate, to file a bill in chance-
ry, in the Monroe Circuit Court, against the widow and
heirs of said Ball, making the allegations thereof corres-
pond with the facts aforesaid; and it shall be lawful for
said Court to require written, or parol, proof, upon the trial,
which may be had at the first term of the Court after the
filing of said bill, and answers thereto; and if it shall ap-
pear to said Court to be for the interest of said estate, a de-
cree shall be rendered, directing said one hundred acre tract,
and the one undivided half of said fifty acre tract of land
.to be sold, upon such terms as shall be deemed most advi-
sable, and order a conveyance thereof to the purchaser or
purchasers from said widow and heirs, which may be exe-
cuted by a Commissioner, under the order of said Court;
-which conveyance shall vest the purchaser with all the
right, title, and interest, in said lands, that said widow and
heirs have: Provided, however, That said Court shall re-
quire said administrator to execute bond, with good security,
in a sum sufficient, conditioned for the faithful application
of the proceeds of said lands to the payment of the debts
against said estate, until all are paid; and to account and
pay over the balance to the guardian or guardians of the
children aforesaid, who are infants, on the execution of prop-
er bond, and to the adult children aforesaid, in proper pro-
portions.

CHAPTER 481.
AN ACT for the.benefit of Eden Shotwell.
Be it enacted by the *General Assembly of the Commonwealth
oJ Kentucky, That if, on the petition of John W. Shotwell,
committee of his mother, Eden Shotwell, to which said Eden
Shotwell shall be a party, the Judge of the Laurel Circuit
Court shall be of opinion that a sale of two small tracts of
land belonging to her, in said county, will be useful to her
for maintenance and otherwise, he is authorized to decree
the sale thereof, and provide for the security and applica-
tion of the proceeds to her use and benefit.
