184.                      CHAPTER 445.
AN ACT for the benefit of Moses Hubbard, and wife.
Be it enacted by tiw General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That Moses Hubbard, and Lucy, his wife,
formerly Lucy Cooke, who was the widow of James
Cooke, late Of Garrard county, shall be allowed to take
from the State of Kentucky, to the State of Missouri,
where the said Hubbard and wife propose to remove, any
of the slaves held by said Lucy, in her dower right, as
widow of the said Cooke, without incurring any of the pen-
alties now denounced by law against widows for removing
dower slaves out of the limits of this State: Provided, That,
before so doing, the said Hubbard and wife shall execute
bond, before the Garrard County Court, with approved se-
curity, conditioned to have said slaves, or their increase, or
such of them as may be living, forthcoming at any time
when the same are properly called for, to answer the de-
.mand or demands of such person or persons as may be
entitled to them, after the determination of the dower es-
tate aforesaid.

CHAPTER 448.
AN ACT to amend the charter of Paducah.
SEc. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Common-
Charter amend. wealth of Kentucky, That the charter of the town .of Pa-

ed as to authorize the Chairman and Board of Trustees of
said town to borrow any sum of money, not exceeding
thirty thousand dollars, to be laid out and expended in ma-
king such improvements in said town as shall be hereinaf-

SEC. 2. That said Chairman and Board of Trustees, in
