Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, That the marriage contract heretofore exist- ing between C. P. Miller and Elizabeth Miller, his wife, be and the same is hereby dissolved, and each of them are re- stored to all the rights and privileges of unmarried persons. Approved January 22, 1849. CHAPTER 88. AN ACT for the benefit of Helen Cannon. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucy, That the marriage contract between Helen Cannon and her husband, David W. Cannon, is hereby dissolved; and the said Helen is restored to all the rights and privileges of an unmarried woman, and to her maiden name Helen Denton. Approved January 22, 1849. CHAPTER 89. AN ACT for the benefit of David D. Moore, of Crittenden county. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, That it shall be lawful for David D. Moore, of Crittenden county, to bring into this State, without in- curring the penalties of the act of 1833 against the impor- tation of slaves, a negro, girl named Rachael: Provided, The said Moore will, within sixty days after said slave is brought into this State, make an affidavit, before some Jus- tice of the Peace, that said slave was brought into this State for his own use, and not as merchandise; and that he will not sell said slave, within this State, for five years. Approved January 22, 1849. CHAPTER 90. AN ACT for the benefit of James F. Drane. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, That James F. Drane, of Christian county, is hereby permitted to bring into this State, from the State of Tennessee, a slave named Leftridge, without incurring the penalty of the law against importing slaves into this State: Provided, Said Drane shall, within sixty days after he shall have so brought said slave into this State, make affidavit, before some Justice of the Peace of said county, that he did not bring said slave into this State as merchandise, or
