county.

CHAPTER 51.
AN ACT for the benefit of Randolph H. Caldwell, of Logan county.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That Randolph H. Caldwell, of Logan county,
be, and he is hereby authorized to import into this State,
from the State of Tennessee, a negro man named Dennis:
Provided, That the said Caldwell shall file his affidavit in
the Clerk's office of the Logan County Court, within sixty
days from the importation of said man, that he has not pur-
chased him for trade or speculation, but for his own use:
Provided, further, That the said Caldwell shall not, volun-
tarily sell, within this State, the said man, for the space of
five years.

CHAPTER 52.
AN ACT for the benefit of Alexander Harald, Harris Harald, and Ed-
win Combs.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
OfrKentucky, That the prosecution now pending in the
reathitt Circuit Court, against Alexander Harald, Harris
Harald, and Edwin Combs, on a charge of hog stealing, be
removed to the Circuit Court of Morgan county, under, and
pursuant to, an act, entitled, an act prescribing the mode
of changing the venue in criminal cases, approved 23d of
February, 1846.

CHAPTER 53.
AN ACT to incorporate the Beaver Dam Pond Draining Company.
WHEREAS, it is represented to the present General Assem-
bly, that the draining of the ponds in that part of Union
county, adjacent to the Beaver Dam Ponds, would greatly
promote the health of the citizens, and improve the value
of the lands; and the citizens having presented a petition,
praying the passage of a law adapted to that end. There-
fore,
SEC. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Com-
monwealth of Kentuchy, That Charles C. P. Gilchrist, Gusta-
vus V. Jones, George T. Martin, Morgan Hammock, and
