SEc. 12. That each and every keeper of a coffee house,  Keepersof

or other person, who shall be licensed by any city or town  t Pay tax.
authority, to retail or sell any spirituous liquors, shall pay a
tax of ten dollars to the Clerk of the County Court of the
county of his residence, who shall account for and pay over
the same as h'e is required by law to account for and pay
over tax on tavern license ; and all Clerks shall, in regard
to coffee houses thus paying tax, be governed in every re-
spect by the laws in force prescribing their duty as to tax on
tavern license; and any coffee house keeper, or other per-
son, who shall sell or retail spirituous liquors without having
first paid such tax, as aforesaid, shall be liable to all the
pains and penalties imposed upon persons who sell or re-
tail spirituous liquors without license.

CHAPTER 671,
AN ACT for the appropriation of Money.
SEc. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Corn-
monwcalth of Kentucky, That the following sums of money,
not otherwise appropriated, be paid out of the Public Treas-
ury, to the several persons named and entitled to the same,
viz :
1. To the Speakers of the Senate and House of Repre-
sentatives, six dollars per day, each, during the present
session.
2. To the Clerks of the Senate and House of Represen-
tatives, ten dollars per day, each, during the present ses-
sion.
3. To the Sergeant-at-Arms of the Senate and House of
Representatives, twenty eight dollars per week, during the
present session, each.
4. To the Door Keepers of the Senate and House of
Representatives, twenty eight dollars, each, per week, during
the present session.
5. To the Clerks of the Senate and House of Represen-
tatives, sixty dollars, each, for their services after the close
of the session, in preparing the acts for publication, and
arranging the books and papers for safe keeping.
6. To the Assistant Clerks of the Senate and House of
Representatives, seven dollars per day, each, during the
present session.
7. To A. G. Hodges, for making index to House of Rep-
resentatives Journal, one hundred dollars.
