SEC. 2. That the provisions of the foregoing act shall not Power to grant

the accommodation of the citizens of said city and the pub-
lic: Provided, that in the licensing taverns within said city,
the City Council shall, in all respects conform to, and be
regulated by, the general laws of the State prescribing the
powers and duties of the County Courts of this State in
respect to taverns and tipling houses, except that the tavern
keepers in said city shall not be required to provide stabling
for horses, &c. : And providedfurther, that the County Court
of Mason county shall not grant any tavern license to any
person within the City of Maysville, who has not first ob-
tained a license from the City of Maysville.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
