1847                          CHAPTER 493.
AN ACT for the benefit of Burriss A. Loomnan and W. G. Andrews Loorman,
of Fleming county.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That it shall and may be lawful for the Fleming
Circuit Court, during the year 1847, and every year therea f-
tor, to cause an inquest to be held, agreeably to the laws now
in force upon that subject, upon Burriss A. Looman and W.
G. And rews Looman, or either of them, the children of Elijah
Looman, of Fleming county; and if said inquest should find
and return them, or either of them, lunatics, and that they,
nor neither of them, nor their father, Elijah Looman, have
not an estate sufficient for their support, or either of them, it
shall, in that event, be the duty of thw Second Auditor, upon
a certified copy of said order and proceedings being filed in
his office, to issue his warrant upon the Treasurer for the sum
of forty dollars for the support and maintennnce of each, per
annum; said warrant to be issued to tile peison who may be
appointed as a committee, from time to time, for the support
and maintenance of said lunatics or lunatic.

CHAPTER 491.
AN ACT authorizing Robert Triplett and Aleiander B. Barrett to bring cer-
tain slaves into this Commonwealth.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Common-
wealth of Kentucky, That it shall be lawful for Robert Trip.
lett and Alexander B. Barret to purchase of Blair Burrell,
of the State of Virginia, and to bring into this State, the
following slaves, viz: Sarah, a young woman, about 1 years
old; Lucy, her sister, about 16 Nears old; Mina, another sis-
ter, about 13 years old; Panthien, another sister, about 12
years old; Randolph. a brother of the above, 15 years old;
Fanny, a young woman, about 17 years old; Amy, her sister,
about 16 years old; Tabby, another sister, about 15 years old;
Gilbert, their brother, about 13 years ol; Nelly, a young wo-
man, about IS years old; Polly, her sister, about 13 years old;
David, their brother. about 15 years old; Sally, a young wo-
man, about 17 years old; Peggy, a girl about -- years old;
Peter, a boy, about 13 years old; William Carter, n boy, about
16 years old; Silas, his brother, about 14 yeurs old; George,
a black man, about 28 years old; Al'red, a mulatto man, about
20 years old; Vashington, a dark colored, 1S years old: Kit-
ty, and her child Starki, sihe being the mother of several of tho
above girls, about 35 years old; Rebecca, daughter of Kitty
about 10 years ol; Delia, daughter of Kitty, about 8 year,
old; together with any increase of said female slaves whicl
may have been born since the first day of January last.
