deeds, or other evidences of title, to tile land proposed to be  1847
sold ; which shall be verified by tile oath of the said Finis E.
.McLean and the said Miles G. Gilbert, guardians to the said
infant heirs of the said Thomas Anderson, deceased ; and when  Court nay
the said Young P. Reynolds, and Mary 1. Reynolds, his decree sale.
wife, and Francis A. Anderson, and said Sarah 1I. Ander-
son shall be legally and properly before the Court, by the ser-
vice of process, unless they shall dispense with it by their an-
swers, it shall and may be lawful for said Court to decree a
sale of said tract of land, upon such terms and credit as said  Proviso.
Court shall deem most advisable: Provided, sail Court shall be
of opinion, from the evidence, by proof made to the satisfic-
tion of the Court, that it would be to the interest and advan-
tage of said infant heirs, and all the parties concerned, to sell
said tract or parcel of land aforesaid.
SEc. 2. That upon entering said decree, the said guardians
of said infant heirs shall enter into bond, with good security,
in at least double the amount said infants may be entitled to of
the purchase money that may larise from the sale of said tract
of land, payable to each of theim the portion to which each
would be entitled to under the statute of distributions on their
arrival at the age of twenty one years, or the marriage of tie
said Martha S. Anderson, together with the interest that may
accrue: Provided, it should not be expended in their support
and education.
SEc. 3. That it shallbe the duty of the Court to appoint a
Commissioner to convey, as well on tile part of said Young
P. Reynolds and Mary E. Reynolds, his wile, and Francis A.
Anderson, as the said inftnt heirs of the said Thomas Ander-
son, deceased, said tract of land to the purchaser or purchas-
ers, after the purchase money shall be paid; which convey-
ance, when made and acknowledged before said Court, shall
be sufficient in law and equity to pass the title to the purchas-
er or purchasers, which shall be certified to the proper Clerk
for record.

CIIAPTER 311.
AN ACT for lhe bimefit of Alfred Payne.
Be it enected by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That Alfred Pane be and lie is hereby permit-
ted to import into this State, from tiho State of Tennessee, it
negro girl named Jenny, without being liable to any fine or
penalty for so doing: Provided, lie will, in twenty days after
said importation, make oath before some Justice of the Peace
of Allen county, that he did not buy said negro fo'r merchan-
dise or to sell again, but that lie bought the same for his own
use; which oath shall be reduced Io writing, and tIme same filed
with the County Court Clerk of said county for safe-heeping.
