1847       SEc. 11. Be it further enacted, That the Institution shall be
located in the town of Midway, in the county of Woodford.

CHAPTER 301.
AN ACT for the benefit of Phobe T. Wilkerson.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That Phoebe T. Wilkerson, of Calloway county,
be and she is hereby divorced from her husband, 11. 1H. Wil-
kerson, and restored to all the rights anti privileges of a single
woman, and to her maiden name of Phoebe T. Dunn.

CHAPTER 305.
AN ACT for the benefit of Jane S. Stewart, William J. Walker and his wife,
and Susan 11. Walker, and the infant heirs of Daniel Stewart, deceased.
SEc. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Com-
monwealth of Kentucky, That it shall and may be lawful for
Jane S. Stewart, widow of Daniel Stewart, deceased, and
William J. Walker and Susan B. Walker, his wife, late Susan
B. Stewart, heirs at law of said Daniel Stcwart, deceased, to
file their bill in chancery in the Hickman Circuit Court, making
Mary E. Stewart, Matilda Stewart, Martha Stewart, Francis
Al. Stewart, Thomas J. Stewart, William H. Stewart, Daniel
Stewart, and Charles C. Stewart, infant children and heirs at
law of the said Daniel Stewart, deceased, parties thereto; and
shall state in said bill that the said Daniel Stewart died pos-
sessed of the following slaves, viz: Edmund, George, Jim,
William, John and Sarah, and her two childrin; and if the
two children of Sarah, or either of them, were born after the
death of said Daniel Stewart, it shall be so stated, and also
their names; and shall, also, state that Edmund, George and
Jim were tried for the murder of their master, the said Daniel
Stewart, deceased, and that Edmund was found guilty and ex-
ecuted, and the other two acquitted; and that the said Jane
Stewart since sold George and.Jim, and shall state the price for
which they sold, and the amount at which Edmund was valu-
ed before his execution; and, also, that it would be to the in-
terest and safety of the said Jane S. Stewart, or any of the
said heirs of the said Daniel Stewart, deceased, from the char-
acter and qualities of the said remaining slaves of the estate
of the said Daniel Stewart, deceased, to sell said slaves ; and
when the said infant children and heirs, aforesaid, shall be le.
gaily and properly before the Court, by themselves and their
guardian ad litem, it shall and may be lawful for said Court to
decree a sale of said slaves, upon such terms and credit as said
Court shall deem most advisable: Provided, Said Court shall
