CHAPTER 179.
AN ACT for the benefit of the Bnptist Church and Church of Christ, in
Simpsonville.
SEc. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Com-
monwealth of Kentucky, That the Trustees of the Baptist      Baptist
Church, in Simpsonville, Shelby county, shall have full power church maysell
and authority to sell and convey all the right, title and interest and convey its

CHAPTER 180.
AN ACT for the benefit of Joseph C. Linn.
SEC. I. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Corn-
monwealth of Kentucky, That it shall be lawful for Joseph C.
Linn to bring into this Commonwealth, for the use of his
brother Andrew S. Linn, a family of slaves, to-wit: Jane. and
her two children, Symms and Mary, now in the State of Mis-
sissippi: Provided, The said Joseph C. Linn, ov Andrew S.
Linn, shall, within twenty (lays after bringing said slaves into
this Commonwealth, make oath or affirmation that said slaves
were not brought into this Commonwealth with the intention
of selling them, and shall, within thirty days, have said oath
or affirmation recorded in the office of the Clerk of the County
Court of the county in which said oath or affirmation may be
made.
SEC. 2. That if the said slaves, or either of them, shall be
sold or hired out in this Commonwealth, within five years from
and after the passage of this act, the persons selling or buyin
or hiring said slaves, or either of them, shall be liable to all
the penalties now imposed for bringing slaves into this Com-
monwealth contrary to law.
