1847    said heirs- to divide the skives among them: And, provided
further, That all tile adult heirs consent to the division.
SEC. 3. That the said Rebecca Morrison, widow of said
Joseph A. Morrison, deceaced, may be authorized and permit.
ted to receive one third of the proceeds of the sale of said
lands as dower, upon her executing bond, with good security,
to he approved by the Court, in double the sum received, con.
ditioned that the principal shall be paid to the heirs at her
death, or sooner if she chooses, their respective portions of
said sum received; or at her election, the Court nay decree
her, in money, the value of her dower in the property herein
authorized to be sold, to be ascertained in any manner the
Court may think best.
Sic. 4. That upun entering said decree, tile guardian to the
infant heirs, or in case they shall have no guardian, the Court
shall appoint a guardian, who shall enter into bond, with good
security, in at least double the amount the infants may be en-
titled to of the purchas6 money that may arise from tile sale
of said lands, payable to them jointly and severally, (if more
than one,) conditioned to pay to each respectively the portion
to which each will be entitled to under the statute of distribu-
tions on their arrival respectively at the age of twenty one
years, or marriage of the girl, (it' any,) together with such in-
terest as tile same may produce, provided the interest should
not be expended in their maintenance and education.
SEc. 5. That it shall be the duty of said Court to appoint
a Commissioner to convey, as well on the part of said Rebecca
Morrison and the adult heirs, as the infant heirs (if any,) of
the said Joseph A. Morrison, deceased, the tracts of land that
may be sold to the purchaser or purchasers, after the purchase
money shall be paid; which conveyance, when made and ac-
knowledged before said Court, shall be effectual in law and
equity to pass tle title to the purchaser or purchasers, which
shall be certified to the Clerk of the Adair County' Court for
record.

AN ACT for the benefit of Zattee Cushing.
SEc. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Com-
monwealths of Kentucky, That it shall be lawful for Zattee
Cushing, of Lawrence county, to bring into this State (with-
out incurring the penalties imposed by the &ict of February
2d, 1833, to prevent the importation of slaves,) one female
slave named Naomi: Provided, Said Cushing shall, within
twenty days after he shall bringsaid slave into this Common-
wealth, make affidavit before some Justice of the Peace for
Lawrence county, that he has brought said slave into this
Commonwealth for his own use and not for merchandise;
