CHAPTER 89.                          1847
AN ACT for the benefit of the beirs of Mabry T. Cox.
WnREAs, it is represented to this General Assembly, that
Mabry T. Cox, in his lifetime, as assignee of A. Cullom, by
virtue of a Kentucky Land Office warrant, No. 3170, caused
a survey of fifty acres to be made, which lies in tile counties
of Clinton and Wayne, which survey was made by the Sur-
veyor of Wayne county in the year 1819, but has never been
returned to the General Land Oilice; and it further appearing,
that said Mabry T. Cox, shortly after said survey, took posses-
sion of said land, and that he and those claiming under him,
have been in possession ever since ; and it also appearing that
said Mabry T. Cox has departed this life, and has left the fol-
lowing heirs at law, to-wit: Charles 1-. Cox, Jane E. Mar-
zolf and Susan Mildrum. Therefore,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly qf the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That it shall be tile duty of the Register of the
Land Office, to receive and record the plat and certificate of
said tract of land, and the Governor shall issue a patent for the
same, in the same manner as if said plat and certificate had
been filed in the time prescribed by law, any law to the con-
trary notwithstanding.

CHAPTER 90.
AN ACT for the benefit of Isaac Ayres.
WHEREAS, it is represented that Tredwell S. Ayres, of Ten-
nessee, is desirous to aid and assist his parents who are old, and
live in Todd county, Kentucky, by furnishing them servants
to wait on them during their natural lives, or the life of the
survivor of them. Therefore,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That Isaac Ayres, of Tod  county, Kentucky,
be and he is hereby authorized to bring into this State a slave
named Dilsey and her three children, or to take possession of
said slaves, if in this State, without incurring the penalties of
the act of 1833, on the part of said Isaac Ayres, or Tredwell
S. Ayres: Provided, That the said Isaac Ayres shall, within
sixty days after obtaining possession of said slaves, make atli-
davit and cause the same to be noted of record in the Todd
County Court, that said slaves were introduced into this State
for his own use and that of his family, and not for sale.
