1847                          CHAPTER 87.
AN ACT for the benefit of Joseph Crow, of Allen county.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That Joseph Crow, of Allen county, be and lie
is hereby permitted to bring into this State the following slaves,
viz: Peter and his wife Dinah, and their children, viz: Nancy,
Eliza, Mary, and Martha, without incurring any penalty for
so doing now prescribed by law: Provided, Said Crow shall,
within twenty days after said negroes shall be imported into
this State, make oath before some Justice of the Peace of said
county, that he brought said slaves into the State for his own
use and not for merchandise; which oath shall be reduced to
writir.g by said Justice, and delivered to the County Court
Clerk of said county, by him to be preserved in his office.

CIAPTER 88.
AN ACT for the benefit of the children of Dr. William D. S. Taylor.
SEc. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Com-
mnwnealth of Kentucky, That it shall be lawful tbr Edward
N Owen, guardian for the infant children of Dr. William D.
S. Tavlor, to execute a bond before the Judge of the Caldweli
Circuit Court, instead of executing said bond in the Louisville
Chancery Court, conditioned according to the provisions of an
act of the General Assembly, entitled, an act for the benefit
of the children of William M. Taylor, approved January 21,
1S46; and that when said Edward N. Owen, guardian as afore.
said, shall execute such bond before the Judge of the Caldwell
Circuit Court, it shall be the duty of the Clerk of the Caldwell
Circuit Court to record said bond in the order book of the
Caldwell Circuit Court.
SEc. 2. Be it further enacted, That when said Owen, guar-
dian as aforesaid, shall have executed said bond, and the same
shall be approved by the Judge of said Court, and recorded as
required by the first section of this act, it shall be lawful for
said Owen to apply for and obtain a certified copy of said bond
from the Clerk of the Caldwell Circuit Court, and, upon his
producing the same in the office of the Louisville Chancery
Court, it shall be the duty of the Clerk of said Court to file
said attested copy of said bond in the suit of Philip R. Taylor,
by his guardlan, against the children and heirs at law of Wil-
Giam D. S. Taylor, Reuben 0. Taylor, and Francis 0. Taylor,
children and heirs at law of William M. Taylor, deceased,
which, when done, shall entitle the said Edward N. Owen to
sue for, or receive and receipt for the amount of money com-
ing to the infant children of Dr. William D. S. Taylor, deceas-
ed, according to the provisions of the act of the General As-
sembly referred to in the first section of this act.
