to this State, approved February 2d, 1833: Provided, that
said Wadlington shall, within sixty days after he shall bring
said slaves into this State, take the oath prescribed in said act
of 1833, and have the same recorded in tile office of tile Cald.

CHAPTER 85.
AN ACT for the benefit of John Iloy, of Simpson county.
WnEREAs, John Hoy, a citizen of Simpson county, is the
owner of a farm in the State of Mssissippi, and, in order to
improve said farm, removed to that State a greater number of
slaves than lie actually intended keeping there for the purpose
of improving and working said lhrm, believing that lie would
have the riglht to bring said slaves back to this State. For
remedy whereof,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That said loy shall have tie right to bring back
into this State, to the place of his residence, from said farm,
tie slaves Henry, Harriet, and James, without incurring the
penalties of the law of 1833, against the importation of slaves
into this State: Provided, that the said Hey shall, within
twenty days after bringing back said negroes, make oath, be-
fore some Justice of' the Peace, that they are the same ne-
groes taken by him to Mississippi. and that lie brings them
back for his own use, and not as merchandise; which oath
shall be entered of record by the Clerk of the Simpson Coun-
ty Court.

CIIAPTER 86.
AN ACT for the benefit of Nathaniel S. Robertson.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That it shall be lawful for Nathaniel S. Robert-
son to bring into this State, from the State of Missouri, the
following slaves, viz: Simon, Beady, Caroline, Albert, Kit,
Patty, John, London, Henry, Frank, Isaac, and any children
they or any of them may have: Provided, Said Robertson
shall, within sixty days after bringing said slaves into this
State, go before some Justice of the Peace for Hart county and
make oath that said slaves were not brought to the State for
merchandise, but for his own use.
