CHAPTER 71.                          1847
AN ACT to enlarge a Constable's District in Clarke county.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That it shall be lawful for the county Court of
Clarke county to enlarge the Constable's district now consti-
tuted by the town of Winchester in said county, so as to ex-
tend the boundary of said Constable's district two miles from
the limits of said town.

CHAPTER 72.
AN A' to amend the patroll law of Clarke county.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That it shall be lawful for the County Court of
Clarke county, to appoint any citizen of said county a patroll,
in and for said county, whose jurisdiction shall extend to the
entire bounds of said county; and said court shall have pow-
er and authority to pay to any such patroll a sum not exceed-
ing one hundred dollars, annually, out of the levy of said
county.                           Approved January 22, 18,17.
CIHAPTER 74.
AN ACT to amend an et, entitled, an act for the benefit of John Duerson,
approved January :1, 18,16.
SEC. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Com-
monwealth of Kentucky, That if the slave Hlenry, in the act
mentioned, to which this is an amendment, shall, fiom any
cause, not be emancipated, the said Duerson shall, after pay-
ing all necessary expenses incurred in suing for and recover.
ing the estate of Moses Frederick, and after paying all debts
owing by said estate, and the expenses of administering the
same, pay the residue to the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Sic. 2. Be it further enacted, That the slave proposed to
be emancipated shall leave the Commonwealth, within one
year after the passage of this amended act.

CHAPTER 75.
AN ACT to allow an additional Constable to the county of Casey.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That there shall be and is hereby allowed to
the county of Casey one additional Constable, to reside in the
neighborhood of 'rhomastown in said county.
Approved January 22, 1847.
