CIIAPTER 31.
AN ACT to change the names of Jacob McClung and Pleasant McClung.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That the names of Jacob MfcClung and Pleasant
McClung, be and the same are hereby changed to the names
of Jacob Calor and Pleasant Calor.
Approved January 16, 1817.
CIAPTER 36.
AN ACT for the benefit of the estate of John D. Locke, a lunatic.
W\rVtEAs, it is represented to the General Assembly, that
John, a negro man, the property of John D. Locke (who ha.
been, by a regular proceeding in the Jefferson Circuit Court,
found a lunatic,) has become, and is now, nearly valueless to
qaid estate, and unless sold, will perhaps be a total loss. For
remedy whereof,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That the Judge of the Jetlerson Circuit Court
be and he is hereby authorized and empowered, on petition
filed, and satisfactory evidence produced, to direct Edward D.
Hobbs, committee of said John D. Locke, to sell, convey and
deliver to the purchaser, said man named John, and re-invest
the proceeds in the purchase of another slave for said John D.
Locke, and report the sale to said Court, stating when, for
what price, and to whom sold; and, also, to report to said
Court the re-investment of the proceeds of said man, showing
of whom lie made the purchase, the amounit paid, and the age
of the slave purchased.

CHAPTER 38.
AN ACT allowing additional Justices of the Peace to Graves and Muhle-
burg counties.
Src. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Com.
monwealth of Kentucky, That there shall be and there is here-  Grave
by allowed to the county of Graves one additional Justice of
the Peace.
Src. 2. Be it further enacted, That an additional Justice of  Muhlenburg.
the Peace be and is hereby allowed to the county of Muhlen-
burg.
Approved January 16, 1847.
