CHAPTER 391.
1$47     AN ACT to repeal the second section of an act, entitled, an act declaring
certain deeds valid, approved March 2d, 1844.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealtih
of Kentucky, That the second section of the act, entitled, an
act declaring certain deeds valid, approved March 2d, 1844,
be and the same is hereby repealed.
Approved February 27, 1847.
CHAPTER 402.
AN ACT to further protect the interest of wool growers.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That, from and after the first day of April next,
the law allowing six dollars reward for wolf scalps, shall be
so modified as to allow only three dollars thereflore; and that
a reward of fifty cents be allowed for each wild cat killed in
this Commonwealth; and all persons entitled to reward under
this act, shall proceed to establish their claims in the same
manner, and receive their pay in the same way, as prescribed
by the laws now in force in relation to wolves.
Approved March 1, 1817.
CHAPTER 408.
AN ACT to amend the law on the subject of apprehending runaway slaves.
SEc. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Com-
monwealth of Kentucky, That the law now in lbrce allowing
a fee of seventy five dollars for apprehending a runaway slave
in any non-slaveholding State, and lodging him or her in any
jail within this State, shall apply, as well to cases in which
the owner of such runaway slave resides out of this State, as
to cases in which the owner resides in this State.
Src. 2. Be it further enacted, That whenever a slave shall
be apprehended, and the compensation now allowed by law
for the apprehension of slaves has to be paid, it shall be' paid
by the person who has the fee simple estate in the slave or
slaves thus apprehended.

CHAPTER 415.
AN ACT to change the time of holding the Montgomery County Court.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commoenwcalths
of Kentucky, That there shall, hereafter, be no County Court
held in Montgomery county on the last Monday in May; but
said Court shall be held on the first Monday in June in each
year.
Approved March 1, 1947.
