CHAPTER 210.
AN ACT for the benefit of the heirs of Thomas Henry, deceased.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That William Henry, administrator of Thomas  Circuit Ct.

Henry, deceased, may file his bill in chancery in the Christian decree a sale
Circuit Court, making the widow and the children and heirs of land.
of said Thomas Henry defendants thereto; and after due
service of process, and the appointment of a guardian ad litem
for the infants, the court may, upon being satisfied by proof
that the personal estate is insufficient to pay the debts, and
that it will be to the advantage of the estate and children of
said Henry to save the slaves and sell the whole, or a portion,
of the lands for the payment of the debts of said Thomas
Henry, decree a sale of the whole of the lands, or so much as
may be necessary, to pay the debts of said Thomas Henry;
and, for that purpose, may appoint a commissioner to make
the deed or deeds to the purchaser or purchasers, and make
all other orders and decrees, necessary to carry out the inten-
tion of this act; and for the security of the interest of said
children and heirs, and in case the proceeds of the lands ex-
ceed an amount sufficient to pay said debts, the court shall di-
rect the excess to be loaned out at interest, or invested in
slaves or other lands, as he may deem best for the interest of
said heirs.

CHAPTER 211.
AN ACT for the benefit of Henry Jones.
WHEREAS, Jonathan Field, of Pendleton county, took charge
of an infant boy named Henry Jones, and has* thus far raised
and educated him, and now desires to adopt him, (having
no children of his own,) and that he may bear his name,
and be made capable of inheriting his estate at his death,
in the event that he should die intestate-therefore,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That the boy, aforesaid, shall hereafter be called
and known by the name of Henry Clay Field, and he is here-
by made capable of inheriting the estate of the said Jonathan
Field, upon the happening of the contingency aforesaid, saving
to the wife of the said Jonathan Field, if she should survive
him, her right of dower in his estate.
