1845                           CHAPTER 45.
AN ACT for the benefit of Mary Ann Fugate and Thomas Sexton.
SEC. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Com.
monwealth of Kentucky, That the name of Mary Ann Fu-
gate, of Anderson county, be, and the same is hereby, changed
to Mary Ann Dawson.
SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That the name of Thomas
Sexton, of Carter county, be, and the same is hereby, chang-
ed to Thomas Gallion.
Approved January 11, 1845.
CHAPTER 46.
AN ACT to revive the act concerning the town of New Liberty, approved
27th February, 1844.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That the act to amend the several acts concern-
ing the town of New Liberty, approved the 27th February,
1844, be revived,and the citizens may proceed to elect Trus-
lees of said town on the last Saturday in February, 1845, and
on the first Saturday in February in each year thereafter,
by first giving ten days previous notice of the time and place,
at three different places in said town.

CHAPTER 47.
AN ACT for the benefit of Thomas Cross.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That it shall be lawful for Thomas Cross to re-
gister, in the Clerk's office of the County Court of Todd coun-
ty, the names of all the slaves he now owns, or any he may
receive by inheritance, hereafter; and it shall be lawful for
him to work said slaves, as it may suit his convenience, either
in the State of Kentucky or Tennessee, without incurring the
penalties of the act of 1833, prohibiting the importation of
slaves into this State.

AN ACT to legalize the appointment of Benjamin Alsop, Constable of Da-
viess county.
WHEREAS, It is represented to the General Assembly, that
Benjamin Alsop has been, by the County Court of Daviess
county, duly appointed Constable of said county, for the Con-
stable's District including Owensboro', the county seat of said
