hereby, authorized and empowered, to remove her dower     1845
slaves from the State of Kentucky to the State of Missouri,
and her said dower right shall not be forfeited by said remov-
al: Provided, however, That she, before such removal, shall
execute bond, with good security, in double the amount of the
value of said slaves, conditioned that she will not sell or dis-
pose of said slaves, and their increase, if any, but will hold
them, or such of them as shall be living, subject to the claim
of the heir or heirs of her deceased husband, William Wilson;
said bond, with a description and names of said slaves, to be
executed in the Clerk's office of the Franklin County Court,
and the securities in said bond to be approved of by the
Clerk of said Court.

CHAPTER 30.
AN ACT to change the name of Henry Harrison Fraley, and for other pur-
poses.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That the name of Henry Harrison Fraley, of
Estill county, be, and the same is hereby, changed, to that of
William Henry Harrison Daniel, and he is hereby legitimated
and made capable, in law, to inherit his distributable share of
his father, John M. Daniel's estate, as much so as if he had
been born in lawful wedlock.

CHAPTER 31.
AN ACT to permit Julia Ann Keedy to. import certain slaves into this Com-
monwealth.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That Mrs. Julia Ann Keedy, be, and she is here-
by, permitted to import into this State a certain negro wo-
men named Maria, about eighteen years old, and her child
named John, about eighteen months old, without incurring the
penalties of the law of eighteen hundred and thirty-three,
prohibiting the importation of slaves into this Commonwealth;
which slaves shall be vested in M. B. Morton, as Trustee, for the
sole use and benefit of said Julia Ann Keedy, and shall not be
subject to the debts of her said husband: Provided, The said
Julia Ann Keedy shall, within forty days after the importation
of said slaves, make out a list of the names, ages, and sex, of
said slaves, and shall also make oath before the Clerk of the
Logan County Court that said slaves are imported for her own
use and not as merchandize, which list and affidavit shall be
regorded in said Court.
