CHAPTER 21.                             1845
AN ACT to provide certain Justices of the Peace of Johnson county with
Morehead and Brown's Digest.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That the Secretary of State shall furnish five
copies of Morehead and Browh's Digest, for the use of Esquires
Janes, Connelly, Waldeck, Picklesimer, and Auxier, who
were Justices of the Peace appointed for the county of John-
son.
Approved January 14, 1845.
CHAPTER 22.
AN ACT for the benefit of the Floyd Circuit Court Clerk.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That it shall be the duty of the Second Auditor,
in settling the accounts of the Clerk of the Floyd Circuit Court
for the year 1844, to make to said Clerk the usual allowance
for his ex officio services, the Circuit Court for said county
having failed to make any allowance to said Clerk for the
year 1844.

CHAPTER 24.
AN ACT to change the place of voting in the Donalson Precinct, in Caldwell
county.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That the place of voting in the Donalson pre-
cinct, in the county of Caldwell, be changed from the house
of Samuel Jones, the present place of voting, to the house of
Morgan Holeman; and the elections therein shall be held and
conducted as now directed by law.

CHAPTER 25.
AN ACT authorizing Maria Jane Pottinger to confirm the sale of a slave
made by her guardian, George W. Pottinger.
WHEREAS, It is represented to the General Assembly of
the Commonwealth of Kentucky, that George W. Pottinger,
of Nelson county, was duly appointed, by the County Court
of said county, guardian to his sister, the said Maria J. Pot-
tinger; and that owing to the vicious conduct of one of the
slaves of his ward he was compelled to sell him, and that the
price obtained for said slave, five hundred and fifty dollars,
was a fair and full one; and said guardian is a man in good
