1842        Ssc. 4. That said Trustees, or their successors, shall, at their
first session, or any subsequent session, as they may choose,

other officers to

they may provide for the election of said officers by the sub-
scribers to said Academy. That a majority of said Trustees

SEC. 5. That said, Trustees, and their successors in office,
May purchase shall be capable in law to purchase, receive, and hold, to them
and hold lands, and their successors, for the use and benefit of said Academy,
&c.         any land, tenements, goods and chattels, which may be given,
devised, or purchased by them. That said Trustees and their
successors, by the name aforesaid, may sue and be sued, plead
and be impleaded, in any court of law or equity.
SEC. 6. That a majority of said Trustees, or their succes-

CHAPTER 374.
AN AC'T for the benefit of Polly Greenlee and her four youngest children.
SEC. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Corn-
Sale of land monwealth of Kentuckyj, That it shall be lawful for Hugh
authorized.  Hays and Samuel Huston to file, on oath, their petition in the
Lincoln Circuit Court, alledging in substance that they are
the executors of David Greenlee, deceased, and that his per-
sonal estate has been exhausted in the payment of his debts,
leaving a considerable portion thereof unpaid, so as to require
the sale of his negroes for the payment thereof, and that in
their opinion a sale of a certain tract of land, lying in Lincoln
county, containing about eighty seven acres, whereof said tes-
tator died seized and possessed, and the application of the pro-
