CHAPTER 187.                          1842
AN ACT for the benefit of Paulina G. Rodes and her children.
SEc. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Corn-  Madison cir-
ftonwealth of Kentucky, That the Madison Circuit Court is cult vested with
hereby vested with jurisdiction of any petition filed by Pau- jurisdiction.
lina G. Rodes, by her trustee, Cassius M. Clay, and of her
children, Green C. Rodes, Eliza Rodes, Sally Rodes, Martha
G. Rodes, Isabella Rodes, Paulina Rodes, and William Rodes,
Jr., by their testamentary or other statutory guardian, for the
sale of some two hundred acres of land, lying in said county
of Madison, known as Rodes' Quarter, and which land was
devised to said Cassius .I. Clay, by Green Clay, for the ben-
efit of said Paulina G. Rodes and her children; and if said
court shall deem said sale advisable and conducive to the in-
terest and advantage of said Paulina G. Rodes and children,
such sale shall be decreed by said court, and cause a deed for  Court ,may
said land to be made by a commissioner; and to said petition, decree sale.
the husband of said Paulina G. Rodes shall be made a party,
complainant or defendant.
SEc. 2. That should said land be sold under a decree, as  Proceeds of
above allowed, then, and in that case, tht proceeds of said sale how to be
sale shall be applied, under the direction of said court, to the applied.
purchase of the tract of land on which William Rodes and his
wife, said Paulina G. Rodes, now reside, of about one hundred
and thirty acres, together with all the improvements thereun-
to belonging, to be held by her and her children, upon the Howtobeheld.
same terms and conditions of trust and inheritance that now
attach to the land sought to be sold, as expressed and given in
the last will and testament of said Green Clay.

CHAPTER 190.
AN ACT for the benefit of the widow and heirs of George W. Hoy, deceased.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Common-
wealth of Kentucky, That the administrator of the estate of
George W. Hey, deceased, late of Simpson county, may file
his bill in chancery in the Simpson Circuit Court, making the
widow and heirs of the late George W. Htoy, defendants, in
which, he shall, under oath,state the debts due from said es-
tate in detail, the assets he has received and how disposed of,
and the property, real and personal, (slaves included,) belong-
ing to said estate; and on the return of process served on the de-
fendants, ten days before tfie return day thereof, and the answer
of the widow filed, under oath, the said Circuit Court may ap-
point a guardian ad litem, for the infants, who may answer
instanter; and the said Circuit Court, at its first term, when
all the requirements herein have been complied with, shall
hear the cause, and if the court shall be satisfied that the as-
