certain the number of chancery suits, appeals, and common
law suits, decided or dismissed the preceding year, or since
the last report; they shall, also ascertain the rate of county
levy and tax of the county, and the total county revenue of
the preceding year; also to ascertain the rate of taxation of
each city and town in the county, and the amount of a city or
town revenue, for the preceding year, stating each separately in
the report; and it shall be the duty of the Second Auditor, an-
nually, to report to the Legislature, within the first twenty days
of the session, exhibiting the facts in succinct form.

CHAP. 376.-AN ACT to amend an act, entitled, an act for the benefit of the
widow and heirs of Francis Hagan, deceased.
SEC. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Com-
monwealth of Kentucky, That so much of the second section
of the act entitled, an act for the benefit of the widow and
section of for- heirs of Francis Hagan, dec'd, as requires the Commissioner
mer law re- therein named, within the space of two years from and after
pealed,     the passage of the same, to return and file with the clerk of
the Spencer circuit court certain copies of deeds, or grants, du-
ly authenticated, as therein specified, be, and the same is here-
by repealed; and the further time of five years is given said
Commissioner, from the passage of this act, to make his return
of the copies aforesaid.
SEc. 2. That it shall and may be lawful for the widow and

may be sold.  to sell the land and slaves belonging to said estate, under the
act of 1837, to also include in their bill one vacant town lot in the
town of Fairfield, in Nelson county; and the court may, if it
shall appear to the interest of the heirs, direct a sale of said
lot, to be made in the same way of the land and slaves, and
that the proceeds of the sale arising from the land and lot, may
be vested by a Commissioner in other land, as specified in the
act of 1837, in any of the western states.
