Approved February 12, 1840. CWtl 286.-AlN ACT to amend the act, entitled, an act to authorize Jailers to serve process in certain cases, approved February 9, 1836. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonuealth of Kentucky, That an act, entitled, an act authorizing the Jailer to serve process in certain eases, approved February 9, 1836, shall be, and is hereby, so amended as to authorize the Clerk to .issue process to the Jailer of the county in cases where the Sheriff may be a party, or absent from the county, and there shall be :no Coroner or when the Coroner shall be absent from the county, or from any other cause not able to serve the process.
