1840.       SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That a Justice of the Peace
be allowed to the county of Wayne, in place of Aaron Beck,
resigned.
SEc. 3. Be it further enacted, That so much of an act to
allow an additional Constable to Russell county, approved
December 23, 1831, as requires said Constable to reside in the
Long Bottom, be, and the same is hereby repealed; and that
the County Court may regulate the bounds of his district.

CHAP. 197.-AN ACT to amend an act for the better regulation of towns, ap-
proved February 7, 1798.
WHEREAS, it is represented to tile present General Assem-
bly, that William B. Glaves carries on the gunsmithing busi-
ness within the limits of the town of Cynthiana, and that the
general law forbidding guns to be fired within the limits of
said town operates oppressively upon him-wherefore,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That the first section of an act, entitled, an act
for the better regulation of towns, approved February 7th,
1798, shall be so amended as to permit Gunsmiths to try their
guns within the limits of their own lots, unless prohibited by
the by-laws of the town.

CHAP. 198.-AN ACT for the benefit of mechanics in the towns of Bowling-
green, Russellville and Owenboro'.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth
of Kentucky, That an act, entitled, an act for the benefit of the
mechanics of Maysville, shall be, and the same is hereby ex-
tended to the towns of Bowlinggreen, Russellville and Owen-
boro', in the same beneficial manner as though said towns had
been named in conjunction with Maysville, in said act.
